Hello Seoul
Recently gf & I went for a 2 weeks holiday to Kimchi Land, Seoul.
Super cooling weather, brightly-lit streets and good food. This post will be flooded with photos.
Checked in to Grammos hotel and it will be our home for the next 10 days.
Our hotel was located at Gangnam and here's the streets in Gangnam. It's really bustling at night.
Day 2
Went for hair wash & blow, got manicure & pedicure done and off to Itaewon.
I was staying at Itaewon last year when I was in Seoul. It was kinda like a comfort zone for me.
Super good soft serve ice cream and super good food everywhere.
Stayed at Itaewon the last time when I was in Seoul with G. So I had to bring gf here to try the food and the ice cream. & we had it a few times. It was really good. Can't find the same one in SG.
The craze now in SG. Soft Serve with honey comb but the one in Seoul is so much better.
Checked out this cafe behind Hamilton which is supposing good with their coffee. When we walked in it was empty but we still decided to give it a try and after awhile people start filling the place. They even have outdoor seats. But weather was too cold for us to sit outdoor.
The whole day was like an ice cream hunting day. After dinner we went to look for Macameron. Thanks to all the helpful people we asked and managed to find the shop.
For the first week, we had been indulging ourselves with Gong Cha and cravings for japanese food.
I think we had Gong cha almost everyday and same flavor all the time.
Did first round shopping at Myeongdong.
Shopping at Hongdae
Our main purpose that day was to shop at Stylenanda. When we were there I kept wanting
to take photos & it took us a good 2 hours before finding it. Thanks to those lovely koreans that
helped us & we finally made it to Stylenanda. *P.s. Did I mention that we were in heels -.-
Lotte World & Food Hunt at Hongdae
We were really excited for Lotte World. We got up early prepare and off we go. Paid about60 bucks for entry and then we realize it was a really small amusement park for kids. Totally feel so cheated.
Second time to Hongdae and we just join which ever queue there is for food.
Checked out Passion 5 as intro by our hair stylist but I guess we were there a little late. Most of the nice dessert were sold out so we chose this. Nothing fantastic about this, but a picture perfect dessert.
Got a few cakes for breakfast too (:
The other day we went back to the shop it was close so the next day we went again and make sure we get to eat our kimchi fried rice and rice with kimchi and pork. I's really good and cheap.
Off to do some shopping at Dongdaemum.
Tuesday was gloomy. Roamed around in Myeongdong and decided to call it a day. Bought supper from the road side near our hotel. The rice cake was damn good and super spicy! YUMS!!!
On the way to Dongdaemum we caught a beautiful sight - Cheonggyecheon Stream
Streets of Ewha
Cat Cafe at Hongdae
Went over to Myeongdong for last minute shopping and when we reach Gangnam it was already 11plus. Wanted to try the Macs but we stumbled onto a 24 hours stall that sell gyoza and kimchi stew!
Finally pf came over from Taiwan to meet us and we had our first korean bbq at "Nice to Meat You"
in Hongdae. Wasn't so difficult to find it with the help of Google map /
Next day we decided to explore Garosugil in Gangnam. Spent almost an hour looking for this particular cafe that is close. OMG! And another 20 mins looking for one that we already walked pass many times.
Off to Itaewon to try Passion 5 again & the amount of stairs we climbed everyday -.-
After dessert met up with pf friend and rushing to catch the bus to N Seoul Tower.
After the sightseeing, dinner and last min shopping at Myeongdong and back to hotel
to prepare for the night. Our last night in Seoul.
All ready and off to Octagon (:
The club was like a fenix plus zouk all together. Was a really big club and super big toilet.
Forgot to snap a pic of the toilet but can imagine toilet with sofa & seats and mirrors and smoking area.
Manage to catch the Kal Limousine to the airport after a long night. This concludes my 2 weeks trip.
I will see you again Seoul xoxo
